Welcome to Spotted Hawk Appaloosas!
Visit soon and meet the horse of your dreams!
We are a small farm in central Missouri dedicated to preserving the bloodlines and integrity of the Appaloosa breed of horses.
We have spent the past several years studying the history, bloodlines and genetics of the breed. We have enjoyed the research and learned a lot. As a result, we are very proud of the stallions and mares we are presenting to you.
We breed for intelligence, stamina, confirmation, friendly personality and of course, color...however, some of the horses we are proudest of are a solid color.
The foals we are raising are extremely capable horses. With the proper training, they can accomplish anything from herding cows, endurance riding to hunter under seat, or any combination thereof.
All of our horses are registered with APHC, and most are eligible for FAA (Foundation Appaloosa Association,) Sundance 500 International, CRHA (Colorado Ranger Horse Association,) ICAA (International Colored Appaloosa Association,) and IPAA (International Purebread Appaloosa Association.) Most can also be traced to the Nez Perce Indians, Ghost Wind Stallions or the Sioux and Navajo Horses.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact us. Visitors are welcome anytime - we always enjoy talking horses! ~Leonard and Peggy Crider
